The Ruckus Wireless ZoneDirector 1200 Wireless LAN (WLAN) Controller, which begins at $1,095, is designed to bring enterprise-quality wireless networking to small and midsize businesses (SMBs). This network monitoring and management device is easy to configure, and provides excellent security and performance. The price includes five licenses so you’ll be able to manage five access points (APs) out of the box. The only downside of the Ruckus Wireless ZoneDirector 1200 that it works only with a variety of Ruckus Wireless APs, not any third-party AP, though within that constraint it can support hundreds of users and throughput speeds in excess of 1GBps. The Ruckus Wireless ZoneDirector 1200 handles configuration of the APs, manages the network mesh, and provides security.
