Datadog is Amerikaanse ontwikkelaar van monitoringstools. Het bedrijf vindt zijn oorsprong in New York City en is opgericht in 2010. De monitoringstools zijn cloud based en integreerbaar met ruim honderd controle-, workflow- en samenwerkingstools. Via verschillende dashboards wordt met tabellen en grafieken de stroming van meldingen in beeld gebracht en gecategoriseerd.

Datadog (which begins at $15 per host per month, billed annually) is infrastructure management and network monitoring that’s delivered in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) wrapper with agents you can install on numerous platforms, high-end analysis features, and customization capability available via a variety of application programming interfaces (APIs). While not our Editors’ Choice in the infrastructure management category (that honor goes to MMSoft Pulseway), Datadog is still a worthy contender, especially for smaller business with custom requirements. Datadog connects to a number of different popular alert and teaming services, including Atlassian HipChat, Basecamp (formerly Campfire), PagerDuty, and Slack.
